Overview

What you get

Give every police, EMS and fire unit its own callsign in seconds. Officers type /callsign, pick a number and color in a live preview menu, and it shows on the roof straight away. Their callsign is remembered and put back on whenever they get in a vehicle.

What's included

  • Roof callsigns: for vehicles with roof-number tuning parts (most police packs with a "callsign system"). Numbers 000–999.
  • Painted-on callsigns: cars whose number is printed in the livery normally can't change it. Frozen Callsigns covers the printed number and draws a new one on top, up to 5 digits, in 3 fonts.
  • Live preview menu: type digits, adjust with the arrow keys, pick from 14 colors or any GTA color index (0–159).
  • Remembered per character: saved callsign and color are applied automatically when the player drives.
  • In-game livery editor: /callsigneditor lets admins place the number patch per model with camera views, sliders and fonts. Setups are saved and shared with every player.
  • One resource, FZCallsigns: Lua client and server, an HTML menu, and digit textures.

Good to know

  • Frameworks: ESX Legacy, QBCore, Qbox, ox_core, vRP and standalone, detected automatically.
  • No database. Callsigns are saved by the resource itself, so there's no SQL to import.
  • No dependencies. Uses ox_lib notifications if you run it, otherwise your framework's or GTA's own.
  • Access control: limit it to jobs and minimum grades (police, ambulance and fire by default), require on-duty on QBCore/Qbox, or allow it by ace permission.
  • Commands: /callsign, /callsign 123, /callsigncolor 111, plus an optional keybind players can change.
  • Synced to everyone: painted-on callsigns are synced to all players, and the server checks that only the driver can change their car.
  • Open source. No escrow and no IP lock. Edit anything.

Vehicle requirements

Roof callsigns need vehicles with the roof-number tuning parts (mod slots 42–44). For cars with the number printed in the livery, set up the patch once with /callsigneditor.
